what does everyone use for antivirus?
mom had norton, but it was using all the memory, they have avg on it now, its free, but i think it lasts for only 30 days?
i found this one.

I've heard good things about Avast but I've never used it. I've used AVG for all the years I've been on a PC, about 12 years now I think.

All that time it's been free and I don't see it changing now. You can get the paid version that has a few more bell and whistles that you don't really need. You may have gotten a free trial download of a paid version? Also I think the free version does come with something extra that good for 10 days and then disappears, don't remember what it is but take my word for it you can live without it.

You have to read around sometimes to make sure you get the free one, they kind of send you around from page to page pointing out to you that there several versions. LOL But stick to your guns, you want the FREE one!

Usually FileHippo is the place to go for downloads they don't lead you around by the nose. LOL The download button for the FREE AVG is on the right, press the Download arrow. It takes you to another page where you will see something else also for sale, just wait until your download window pops up, should be right away.

I am using avg on two pcs, it is about to expire it says and I have to switch over to 2008 free version by may 31st.

Mojo you get mcaffee for free with comcast, but I think on only one computer.

thanks everyone. i have mcafee when we bought the computer it was 3 years for one year price.
when it goes out i am shpping for free ones...
i am going to make sure mom has avg, it looks fine.
