Kingston 8GB Hi-Speed DataTraveler 2.0 USB Flash Memory Drive
Too bad I don't have a real good reason to buy this item. LOL
I don't have a Kingston so I can't say one way or the other about the brand but that sure is a good buy. I have a PNY, SanDisk and a MobileMate. So far I've not had any problems with any of them except at one time the SanDisk would not work on a certain PC and I never did determine why.

Oh and if you sign up for a credit card you get $10 off your first purchase, which would make it $21.95.

It's not hard to use at all, Mojo. It's just another container for files like a HDD except it's limited to a lot smaller amount of data of course.
When you plug it into a USB port it will show up in Exlorer as a new drive, will be listed last and named Removable Disk
You can either drag files to it or copy them from somewhere and paste them into "Removable Disk". Pictures for instance. Then you can unplug it from the PC, take it to another PC, plug it in and transfer the pictures to that PC. Click on "Removeable Disk" to open it and drag the pictures from there to a folder on the HDD.
BEFORE UNPLUGGING FROM THE PC
You really need to "stop" the device before unplugging it.
There should be a little icon in the tray that looks like this: If you hover your mouse over it you will probably get a message like this:
Left click on it and you will get a box saying Unplug or Eject Hardward, click it and you will be told i'ts now safe to unplug the Device. However, that doesn't always work for me, and from what I read it doesn't work for a lot of people, and I end up unplugging it anyway.

| With xp mine shows up as menu asking how I would like to open it, folder etc., or I can close that and click on my computer and it will show with the other drives. With vista I think it was the same, so just put it in and open as folder and drag stuf in, like songs, images whatever. Just right click on stuff to delete. |
