| I bought a new mouse today, a microsoft optimal for 25. I should have bought a new one long ago. his thing is great! It even scrolls sideway with the rolller by leaning it left or right. It also has a button to magnitfy. But the main reason I bought it is because its 1000 pixel something or other and it is very eay to do things. I almost had to give up doing toons and art, I thought it was my arm, but it was the mouse. |

GREAT! We sometimes forget just how important a mouse is until we get a new one and find out what we've been missing. A bad mouse can really be a drag.

Congratulations fishead. I recently bought a mouse, but it turned out not to be an easy task to find one that I liked. I first bought Logitech's MX Revolution but found out that the software only worked with XP and Vista. I use W2K. So I took it back and bought a M$ cordless lazer mouse, but it kept getting confused. So I took it back and ordered a Logitech G7 Mouse. I really like this mouse. It comes with two rechargable batteries. Unfortunately, the batteries only hold a charge for a day. So every day, I have to swap out the batteries. I hope the batteries don't wear out quickly from being charged so often...

Its not cordless bobby, but that doesn't matter to me, especially after hearing about the battery needed charged often. It is the 3000 optimal by ms. It has 1000 pixel senitivity it says.
I was supposed to get $5 instant rebate but I didn't check till I got home, and I didn't get it. I bought it in madison 2 hours away. I called them and they said bring it back, but I just wanted to hear what they said. He said they listed it in error, that it should have been the 2000 on sale, which I couldn't find a picture of on the net and I think its all a scam to confuse people.
Anyway, other than paying 25 instead of twenty I couldn't be happier. It scrolls across the screen real fast with less movement, yet it is very acurate when I move it slow. The wheel scrools easy as heck and when I tilt it sideways, it scrolls which ever way I lean it. It has the enlarement button that comes in real handy. Now all I need is a new computer to plug it into which I ordered just a short time ago. lol.
I decided on another hp. I was tempted to go with other, but after hours of comparing, I decided on hp. It is huge and only cost $600. I am ashamed but I ordered it online through walmart, lol. Sorry world, I'm just poor and have to do what I have to do.
It has 320 gig, dual 3.2 amd processor, gforce 6500 graphics card, two dvd burners, 2 gig ram, and thats all I remember off hand. It will be in store 7-10 days (free shipping). I am dead in the water with my pc burning now, I can burn movies and cds, but I can't copy anything so my son is helping me out. I have dvds selling that I have to get out and I'm tired of problems. I think my processor is going out, and maybe more things like my main dvd burner (I have 3 hooked up and can't copy one disc) and its getting outdated with all the video I mess with. Its either buy a new one or close my business. I am maxed out on ram, that really hurts being limited to 556 mb. |

Boy! That's sounds like a nice setup! Is the HDD ATA? I was looking at some motherboards today and some seem to have only the SATA connectors. Maybe one ATA connection off to the side somewhere. What the heck is up with that? All my HDDs are ATA. These component makers keep screwing us up.

SATA is faster, so that is where the industry is heading. In the near future, you won't be able to find a IDE HDD for sale. They just won't be making them any longer...

What if you need a HDD and you don't have a SATA connection. Or your MOBO doesn't support a SATA. Or you just can't make a SATA work on your PC?

Hey Dave. I'm impressed with your new PC. You have equipped it with components that will cover your needs far into the future. Congatulations. That 2 gigs of RAM is really impressive. My PC has that capacity but I haven't gone up to the maximum yet. I haven't needed it yet but will upgrade it soon anyway.
As far as a cordless mouse goes, I don't want one. To each his own but I don't like what I hear about the battery replacement and recharging problem. The cord doesn't bother me. I do like the functions of yuour new mouse and will probably get me one. If I can get approval from the Finance Department (Mrs. Bobby). |
