| I used to be able to minimize one window and it would remain in the taskbar while I went to another site. Something changed so that if I minimize a window it goes away when I go to another. Where is the setting to correct this and put it back to where it used to be? I have Win XP SP2 Home and use IE6 on my PC. In other words I could have several windows in my taskbar at the same time before. |

IE does the same thing for me and always has. The only way to open a new window, at least for me, is to right click the link and ask for a new window:
And that only works for a link in the browser window, there is no way to open a new window from the bookmarks, you don't get the option for a new window. I HATE that about IE!
I have asked about this in help forums before and have gotten answers but for a question I didn't ask. For instance sometimes for no reason at all IE loses the ability to offer you a new window when right clicking a link in the browser window and there is a fix for that!
I think having this option uncheck should allow IE to open a new window when clicking a link but apparently it doesn't work.
Bobby, should you find a fix please post it here!

OK. I found out how to keep one window open while opening another. As the ScreenShot shows, FRosebud is open in the Google Toolbar near the top of the page. Beside it is the other window that I got he last story from that I just posted in RCF. Before, my IE would leave one window in the taskbar while opening multiple windows. For example if I opened RCF first and then went to another sitge for a story RCF would remain on the taskbar. Each additionsl page would "Stack" over RCF with the first page opened staying on the bottom of the list. It did this last week. I don't know what I changed to alter this but this method of going to the
toolbar at the top will work the same way. I don't remember activating the Google toolbars. I guess that I did it during one of my Senior moments.
Did you notice the CNN Neighbor: Mall just to the right of Rosebud in the toolbar that I'm talking about?

See how I have multiple windows open and they are showing beside each other in the Taskbar? Also the ImageShack images are stacked above the Rosebud window.

| I have IE7. Maybe that's the difference. I talked to Penny and she also has IE7 and it is just lke mine. I guess when I upgraded to IE7 is when I got the Google toolbars. |

OK so I told you wrong! My first mistake that I ever made! You caught me. I'll never ever make another mistake or state anything wrong the rest of my life, OK? I'm enclosing a SS of my Add or Remove page to prove that I have IE7. Are you going to upgrade to IE7 and join the rest of us?
