I don't understand your logic Philip. If I say I like Al Gore, it is perfectly legitimate for someone to ask me why. I can explain Al's good traits and actions and discuss his intelligence and reasonable character. I can discuss how Al is working to improve the environment to make it possible for future generations to live on this planet. I can talk about how Al would work to unite the world rather than alienate this country from the rest of the world. I don't see the question "why" as baiting. I see it as a way to allow the person to clarify their position with examples and to promote the discussion...

If the use of the term "why" is now grounds for banning, what about the words "When", "Where", "What", and "How"? This forum is going to get pretty dry if you disallow any questions and remove the ability to seek clarification. This latest rule will make it possible to ban almost anyone on almost any grounds. Is that your intent???
