I added the Users Set Posts & Topics Count MOD, which allows you to set the number of Posts and Topics shown per page. If you are using broadband, you might like to display more posts and topics on each page than the current board default. If you are on dial-up, you might want to choose less...

To change your Topic and Post count setting, go into your Profile and modify these settings with any positive integer value. If you want to restore the board defaults, just delete the remove your settings from the edit windows:

Well I have a cable connection and this MOD sounds great, however, right now I don't know if it's the fault of our site or my PC but the board is very slow in loading the next page so I think I will wait a day or two before I do anything.

We do have the option to switch to another file server. Our Host claimed that it might improve the performance of our board. I really think the problem lies with the Database Server though, so switching to another file server may not make much of a difference. This new performance problem started yesterday and I was hoping that it would be short-lived...

If we do decide to switch to another file server, our IP addy would change and there would be a switch of our DNS settings. That could mean that our board may not be available to some for up to 24 hours. It is the same as changing hosts. This switch probably should be decided by all of our members knowing full well that it may or may not correct this new performance problem...

Your choice, NR and RB. Sometimes it takes only a couple of hours for the DNS change to propagate. I don't know anything about databases, so will defer to your judgment, NR, whether to switch servers.

Last time we changed hosts, I was able to see the board in a very short time. But I think it took rb and Spider almost 24 hours before they had access to it. I think before we make a move like that, everyone should have a say as to when it would happen...
