This one I can answer because I found it on the web  Hi masteranu84, good to see you again!

1 - Requirements - It all depends on your requirements. Most of the windows hosting provider will provide you support for scripting language like ASP and database like MsSql whereas most of the linux hosting providers will provide you support for scripting language like PHP and database like MySql.

So if you want to use ASP than choose windows server whereas if you want to use PHP than use linux server. If you don't want to use any scripting language than you may use any of the hosting platform. Our preference is always linux hosting due to its extensive features and worldwide popularity.

You can use html, dhtml, javascript, flash, real audio, video, cgi, pop mail ids, ftp, frontpage etc on both servers.

2 -  Budget - Linux hosting is always cheaper as compared to windows hosting coz  most of the sofwtares used on linux servers are open source that is free whereas on windows server most of the softwares are paid and need to be licensed by Microsoft.

Hey masteranu84, great to see you!  It's been a long time.  Yeah, work can keep a person pretty busy, I hope you have a job that you like.

You must come visit more often and tell us what you're doing in your world way over there in Malaysia.

Two children!  How nice.  Sounds like a pleasant life you have M84.  Yes, working for parents is not the best thing, I hope you find something that pays more and makes you feel more independent.

RCF has been steadying losing members until there are only five or six of us and most of them only visit occasionally.  But I still enjoy it here.  Not as much as I used to of course but it gives me some place to go at least once a day or so.  LOL

Hey, I'm going to be a grandma!!  How about that?  In December.  Don't know if it's going to be a boy or girl yet, will find out this coming Sunday.  If I get to baby sit I may call on you for some tips, it's been a few years since I've taken care of a baby.   This is my son's first baby so he doesn't know too much about taking care of a baby yet.  I'm sure he will learn fast.

A lot of people are using Facebook now to talk to friends.  I really don't care too much for Facebook.  Maybe because I've gotten so used to the forum style.  Bit mostly because I prefer discussing current events and that's more suited to a forum.  Also I'm happy talking to anyone not just friends.

I don't have a smart phone and have no desire to have one.  Maybe if I learned how to use one I would really enjoy it.  Taking pictures quickly and easily would be neat.

Yes, about babies, I remember going crazy the first year while learning how to care for a baby.   But I've had some experience already so it won't be totally new to me.  And yes this is a wonderful addition to our family and we are all looking forward to the birth.  My son is taking it in his stride and making all kinds of plans, he has already bought a crib for the baby and is in the process of adding to his house.

Sounds like you're a good daddy and husband, M84.  I wish the very best for you and your little family.  We live and grow and learn and create memories for our old age.

Our lives just keep changing don't they?

Yeah, kids keep telling me I should get a smart phone.  Have a hard time convincing myself though.  I would probably keep it shut off like I do my cell phone.   My son walks around with a smart phone all the time and it sounds off about every 2 minutes with either a call or text message.  I don't think I could stand that.
