I have changed my opinion and will simply upgrade what I have since I don't have an interest in Windows 7. All I will upgrade is my RAM, my HardDrives and the most difficult thing my AGP card. HOW in that jungle do I fins the right AGP card for my computer? AGP 1X, 2X, 4x or 8X really isn't an issue since they're all backwards compatible. But the rest of the numbers and letters are driving me nuts.

I don't know if any of this may help out:

Believe me, I built this machine myself and I am completely lost today!

Do all AGP cards fit into the slot I have or are there different slots? I know not to get a PCI Xpress card nor the old PCI card but the rest of the "greek" out there is just that, "greek" to me!

Give the info on your mobo, that will probably determine what graphic cards it will support.

I think the mobo will determine that.

"One AGP slot supports 8X/4X at 0.8V (AGP 3.0) or 4X at 1.5V (3.3V is not supported)"...  Probnlem is that mine is exactly this one and it has three sets of connectors while this one only has two... Hardly any of the medium quality AGP cards have the set of three connectors anymore...

Thank you so much RB for your help.

I THINK I have finally decided what to do. Stupid as I was, when tired I released the graphic card and put it back in to see the slot and the little tiny/weak *f-ing* plastic thing that is supposed to keep it in place broke. Just the part that one grabs, but the card is still very tightly in the slot. I don't really know why they have that little hook there. No one would shake their computer so much that it would go loose. I don't know what the heat can do to it, but in any case heat expands...

These are the components that I am planning to get:

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive.

RAM: CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory Model CMC2GX1M2A400C3

Graphic Card: HIS IceQ H467QS1GHA Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 AGP 4X/8X HDCP Ready Video Card – It doesn’t have to be HIS. Other manufacturers are ok too. Such as ATI, Sapphire, Gigabyte…

I don't know where to get them yet since Snuzie may be able to get them cheaper from a co-worker's brother, so the prices will most likely not be the ones you see here. Another thing is that the Swedish Kroner is very high in comparison to the US$, so if bought in SEK it will be almost half the price comparing to Sweden. One US$ costs 6.7 SEK today. Two years ago it was about 8.5!

I wanted to get 4GB of RAM, but my friend told me that his computer started to get weired when he had that amount of RAM in a 32-bit OS. So I'll get two X 1GB and already have a pair of 512MB which will make it 3GB all together. I am still not sure about all the components so if anyone has suggestions for better alternative, you're all welcome to give them.

Very nice graphic card!  Wow, 1GB!  Are you sure it will fit though, it doesn't have the 3 connectors like your present one?
