Never judging my every little quirk

Quietly listening to my rantings

Even when I'm acting like a big jerk

Selfishly ahead of your precious care

I know a friend like you is very rare.

My friend we're growing old together

So much faster than one would hope

Life is getting tougher to navigate but

We know with each other we can cope

So please get off me and onto the floor

Go get your leash I'll take you for a walk
