I can't watch video clips in full screen anymore for some reason. The other day when rebooting the 'puter, I was asked to install the latest Flash Player which I did and since I can't watch anything in full screen. It's just white all over but I hear the sound.

I have version 10 and it seems to be fine.  The other day I came across a clip I could not view full size for some reason but other than that I've had no problem.

Have you tried watching the same clip with another browser and see if it works there.  It could be a browser problem. Try watching it with Firefox.

If it's Opera Browser Nightrider should be able to help you with that.

Test your Flash Player here

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

I think I remember reading that if you have old Flash Players installed it might cause problems.  You may have to uninstall all the Flash Players you have in Add and Remove Programs and install a fresh copy.  I'll see what I can find on that.

Seems other people are having a problem also.  Note the second post, did you install the RC version of Flash Player?

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/658596?tstart=0

And too, Spider, usually you need to install two Flash Players, one IE version and one non-IE version.  At least that's what I have don't in the past.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

This download is the standalone installer for Firefox, Opera and other Gecko-based browsers.

OK, found it!  Here is how to cleanly uninstall Flash Player using Adobe's uninstaller.

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Then you can install a fresh copy and see if that solves your problem..

Thanks a buncho RB. I uninstalled it and tried a clean  installation and that didn't work either. I found the setup file on my computer for the previous version, 10,0,22,87 and installed that one instead and that works fine. I just hope it won't start to bug me with upgrade pop ups.

Thanks again, hon!

Great that you got it resolved Spider, good work.

To stop receiving notifications of updates, deselect the Notify Me When an Update Is Available option in the Global Notifications Settings panel.

The panel that show is not an image but an actual manager unique to your PC.  Just uncheck: Notify me when an update to Adobe Flash Player is available, and you won't get any popups.

Now it looks like a bad TV signal with horizontal stripes and it's not possible to see anything when I have it in full screen... This is weird to say the least...

Spider, the best thing to do is go to the Flash Player forum and post your problem

http://forums.adobe.com/community/webplayers/flash_player

Also check out the post near the top ... Flash Player problem ....  I don't know if that would apply to you but they are working on that right now, might pay to watch for the outcome.

If that in no way applies to you then post your own problem.
