They tell me to write a story about a big black hole. It’s located between a town and a little house. I got there and looked around and started to think; what am I supposed to do with this story.
I called them back and told them it was an empty place. They told me to write about it anyway. I told them it would be impossible to do such a thing. They told me to dig a big black hole.
Well I dug and I dug and the hole got deeper. But I still couldn’t figure out what to write about. They told me to keep digging and to think harder. So I did, but nothing came up, it was all emptiness.
They sent out a bunch of workers to dig for me. They weren’t paid but they did get laid when their day was done. I looked at myself and asked a few questions. But none of them had a reply.
My boss came down to the place I was at and told me to go on. I did so. But I didn’t find the words to tell him that it was an impossible mission. He told me
that nothing is impossible
I agreed but told him it depends on the hole.
If it’s black, if it’s red or if it’s blue. I can’t just write a story out of nothing, sir.
He told me
“little man, make an effort, will you?”
I did so but still just saw an empty hole.
