Mother's new computer burned up already. Dell is giving her the run around. After some time and effort they are sending someone to work on it maybe. They think its the motherboard. Its only 2 months old. My niece, who is helping her and picked out the pc to begin with, said she had to send hers back once and her boyfriend had to send his dell back 3 times. My daughter has a toshiba and it is about 8 years old and still works. I got 5 years out of my compac, then sold it for $100 as parts and bought my new one for $400, so it was only $300 total and it works great so far. I get good service from hp too. They have good chat and I have talked to them on the phone.
