phpBB3 conversion process

Just installed a phpBB3 forum to see what its like.

Then tried the conversion process, and getting nowhere rapidly.

I get "Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
No error message given."

As far as I can tell, it cannot access the database.

I've installed these using fantastico, and used the default settings.

The one I really dont know about is the Prefix. The other values (except password that I'm leaving blank), I have from an email after creation. The extension on the database name is _phpb3, should that also be the prefix ?

Aynone got any clues as to whats wrong with this ?

You need to enter your database name, database user name and password.

You need to enter correct database name, database username and password in the config file to let the database gets connected and your forum will run fine.

you don't need to edit the config file. phpbb3 has a built in converter
