I guess I should ask this here,

Someone is having trouble logging into my forum. Its a new member so Im worried. Here is what he wrote:

I thought I couldn’t get on the forum because of my computer. But I shut if off and tried again and I keep getting this error message on the forum index.

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

Other Fisheadtackle pages seem fine but the forum is kaput. Maybe you know of this already, or am I the only one not getting on?

Dave, check with the person again to see if they still have the problem. "Could not connect to the database" is a common error to come up when the forum is down. The fault in most of these cases lies with the Host and is only temporary.

Like mojo I'm not having a problem with the site right now.

I think its his pc or connection because he still can't get in. I told him to clear temp files and cookies but he didn't reply to that suggestion.

If the below error shows when you try to access your forum means there is some problem in your server for which you will need to contact your host.
