The Election Is Over
Due to a member request, I added a hyperlink in the header to the Electoral Tracker 2004 site. It is an LA Times page and may requre a UserID and Password...
This is a hyperlink to a Flash Movie. In Opera, it asks whether I want to Save or Open the file. When I tell it to Open the file, it opens and plays in an Opera window. It may act differently for other browsers, so I would be interested in hearing if anyone has any problems with this link...

I use Netscape browser and when I click on the link I get a box asking what should Netscape do with the file, "open with default" is ticked so I just say OK and get the map immediately.
Since I have SWF Opener installed and set as default viewer for flash movie that's the program that displays the map. Otherwise I don't know if Netscape would open it or not. Probably would just go to the site with the link to the map. |

Wonderful! That's good to hear, Catmando, and thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated.
Unless people tell us what's working or not working for them there is no way for us to know.
I suppose if I didn't have SWF Opener installed than Netscape would just go ahead and open it also. I have no problem seeing any flash movies on the Net.

That's good to hear. I assume since you didn't mention it, you didn't have to log in to see the Electoral Tracker either. That would be good news too...

A lot of us are doing our part here in Florida and it seems to be paying off. I hope those in Oregon are doing the same. If we continue on the pace we are on, Kerry will win handilly on November 2. When you click on the states that are leaning for Kerry, he wins. Unless those who support Kerry fail to show up at the polls, GW has little chance of victory unless the election has already been rigged...
Here's another site that shows the electoral totals. Note that Florida and Hawaii are the only tied states at this time. If this holds true, the Florida will once again be the deciding factor in this election...
