If I have my forum files inside a forum folder, is that folder my forum root or is it my basic url?

www.babydreams.net ?

www.babydreamz.net/forum ?

Your forum root means the first page where the forum is installed. Let's say your forum is installed on www.your-domain.com so the Root will be www.your-domain.com and If the forum is installed in a folder let's say www.your-domain.com/forum and if you want to go to Root of the domain, so still it will be www.your-domain (The root of the domain)

Just trying to explain it to someone else I wanted to double check to make sure i didn't confuse them.

So if a mod says to add a file to the root and my forum is inside a folder called forum - is the forum folder the root in this case? or is the root always where your domain is stored?

So in this case you will need to upload the file in the forum folder where your forum is installed.
