You can now get your weather update directly in the tray next to the clock. This is a neat program that I have been using for a week and I really like it!
Here are a few screen shots:
You don't need to use the big window. You can just have the temp at the tray and when you want to see forecasts you hit the temp icon!
At least I like it! I know that you can go directly to any weather site and check it out, but it does save you some time at least....

I tried WeatherBug a few years back and it did pretty much the same thing. But WeatherBug is nearly like an overbearing virus and it wasn't long before I decided to get rid of it. It wasn't that easy to remove, but I finally succeeded. I can't remember all the things that caused me to hate WeatherBug, but I do remember it really pissed me off. I know that it was directly linked to OE too, so if OE was set to work offline, then WeatherBug didn't work either. I remember it was a real PITA...

That's not the case anymore. You should try it! If it was a few years ago, there certainly have been improvements. And it is definitely not linked to OE in any way! I don't use OE and have no problems with it.

I like the national weather service. They have a great river level report that I can't do without. |

I don't keep it on my desktop, or anything else, but they might have this option.

If the software you're talking about is actually called the WeatherBug then it is not the same. This is simply called the weather channel...

Yes, there is a program called WeatherBug, which sounds very much like The Weather Channel. Here is what someone else wrote about WeatherBug. My experiece was very similar...
Weather Bug: More then just Spyware, it's a pain in the ass
If The Weather Channel doesn't contain the same failings as WeatherBug, I would be willing to try it out for a while even though the weather isn't nearly as important to me as it used to be...

Did you buy your PC new fishead? If so, which OEM is shipping their PCs with WeatherBug installed? I can't believe any of them would include that type of garbage as standard software on their PCs...
