I don't know what the deal is, because I really think I know what I am doing, yet it's not working, LOL.
I am trying to transfer divinemommies to another server. I will pm you with links and passwords, can you look at it next time you have a minute. Thank you! |

I sent you a PM detailing the troubles I encountered. Perhaps if you can use the Extended and Complete Inserts in the Export, the Import will go smoothly. Otherwise we may have to split the database backup file into smaller pieces and import each separately to try to determine what part is going wrong...

ok, I did the backup with the complete inserts and extended inserts, and when I try the import from bigdump I get the following error.
| Quote:

Stopped at the line 579.
At this place the current query includes more than 300 dump lines. That can happen if your dump file was created by some tool which doesn't place a semicolon followed by a linebreak at the end of each query, or if your dump contains extended inserts. Please read the BigDump FAQs for more infos.

Should I break it up and see if I can get it in through phpmyadmin? |

Have you tried Exporting/Importing this without using Bigdump? You should be able to import the backup to another database using phpMyAdmin. If that doesn't work, then you will need to break up the backup file into smaller pieces. Since Bigdump doesn't like the Extended Inserts, you may have to create another Export without them, but use the Complete Inserts option though...
If I knew which database you are exporting and which you are importing back into, then I might be able to experiment with it too...

Is there a trick to cutting it in 3? Because it's so big, that clicking and dragging and trying to get 1/3 of it to copy and paste is taking me so long that I can't finish breaking it into three, because something always happens and I need to get up from my chair and let go of the button. LOL
I am sure there is an easier way to cut the file into three but it's not coming to me
I am exporting database phpb5 from the old server, and importing on phpb1 on the new server. I also have the sql backup file on my new server if you want to see it/play with it. It's in the bigdump folder, and it ending with phpb54 |

I just successfully imported the phpb54 database backup that you had stored in the Bigdump folder into the divinemo_phpb1 database. It took about 11 minutes start to finish and went without a hitch. I suspect that the reason you were having trouble is that it was timing out during the Import if it was taking too long. That's why it was stopping after running only a portion of the backup...
It should be good to go now...

I did the switch yesterday morning, and I STILL can't see the new server when going to the domain, and it also seems I am the only one that doesn't see the new server yet!! Everyone is there but me.....
Wouldn't you know about 30 minutes after I posted this it changed. |
