My HDD crashed a while back and I had Acronis TI and a large external HDD sitting over on the shelf behind me. Being that far away and never being used, it didn't save any of my valuable information from my dead HDD. I knew all along that I should have been backing up everything that I didn't want to lose but I didn't. The old "I'll do it tomorrow" Syndrome had ahold of me. Now that I have lost information (Pictures, documents, applications that I had paid for, non-recoverable items) I finally woke up and am shutting the barn door after the mule has gotten out. I am burning images to DVDs and CDs and am going to hook up my Acronis TI and burn every thing on my HDD to my external disc.

It's a shame that I had to lose so much valuable stuff to wake me up. I will do my part ot help change the world of PC users from now on. On a regular basis I will post a short reminder on RCF to backup, backup, backup. The time-worn but accurate phrase "Use it or lose it" very aptly applies here.
