I uploaded a mod to the mods file and went onto admin ACP and use the install, click the new mods box, then clicked process and got view files. What do i do with those and how do I continue installing mod from that point? Do i copy that info in the view to notepad, save as said file and upload to my phpbb2 root?
Was trying to install the Music Media Mod.

Im starting to think that easymod isnt so easy after all.
I could have installed many of these mods by know.
I havent seen any posts related to this issue.
It is starting to seem like i will have to mod files anyways.
Is there some sort of un-install for easymod, i feel i may have to remove this ACP device.  |

Don't get discouraged Matooba. Once you learn a few easy tricks, you will be able to install most MODs quickly. It is unfortunate that not all MODs are written in an EM Friendly manner, but we can help you to correct that when you encounter MODs like that. Could you provide a link to the Music Media Mod topic and/or download???

I'm actually getting very discouraged. I need to get mods installed for projects and frankly, i want to use this easymod app. I cannot continue waiting days for this to happen. I installed this mod from your forum in the hope that it was easymod compliant. Then i tryed some really simple mods that are not bigger than one file, to no avail. I did no manual installing of any files easymod installed itself. I posted already my error and feel it doesnt really matter which mod i used as they all seem to be producing the same error. So now i wait another day to see what happens. At which point, if i cannot get help with this mod then out it goes. I cannot be expected to use a mod that has selective support for it when i could be doing it the tedious way, but getting things done. I'm sorry to seem upset but you said that your team from area51 was here and i see ppl's posts getting attention and mine going unscathed.

Matooba, there is no "team" from Area 51. I'm not quite sure where you got that impression. There are a few people like Neil and Poomie who try to help when they can too. But they are learning as well, so they don't always have the answers to every question that arises. Neither do I but we all try hard to help as much as we can...
I was a volunteer over in Area 51 who helped a lot of people. I do not avoid anyone's request for assistance as it appears that you are suggesting. I can only help so many people in a day and I do my best to keep up with the requests and for the most part, I do alright except when I'm feeling lousy. I have been sick for a very long time from a condition called FMS, so I have a lot of bad days. But I do what I can when I can and luckily most people are understanding when it takes me more time to get around to their problems. I will be happy to help you learn how to use this tool, but I can't help you if you are impatient and give up easily...
Here is an EM-Friendly version of the Music Online MOD that I made ages ago. Try using this MOD script and if you encounter any errors during the install, post the error messages within Code bbcode tags and I will be happy to walk you through the process...

I can understand why you got frustrated. You don't need to apologize. Hopefully if you use the EM Friendly version of the Music MOD, it will install on the first try using EM. If not, we can work through any conflicts that you encounter. Just post any Critical and Warning errors here and we can go from there...

Ok, I installed phpBB Spellcheck, DHTML Menu for ACP, and My Dashboard Ultra. I can definitely understand why you had trouble with each of these MODs. The My Dashboard Ultra MOD was designed for phpBB 2.0.10 and the Spellcheck MOD was badly written. Also, I looked at the phpBB_TruBar and found that many of the included files are missing from the MOD folder. So until you can find the rest of the MOD files, you won't be able to successfully install it...
