Speed seems to vary from time to time. Right now, 7:00 pm Sunday evening in Texas, it's very fast! I wish it was this way all the time. That does seem to be a indication the responsibility/fault of how long it takes to load a page rests with the Host.
I just edited the post to test the speed of that and it's incredible how fast that was! It would nice to have the forum behave this way all the time.
BigR, I keep sending NR checks with a lot of zero, he keeps sending bills, I keep adding zeros...... don't know .... I think if I understand correctly he would like to see some other numbers mixed in with those zeros on the check but I don't have any other numbers.

NR, this afternoon when I clicked on the Message Rec'd notice on Yahoo, a Waning Box apeared that said, "viruses ,etc could be encountered when I click on rb's website now...
I wanted to copy the warning box but it would not let me
It appears every time in spite that I clicked on "do not show this message again... It serves as an annoyance only...
Is there any way to get rid of the warning mesage box or am I stuck...?
I could start a new e-mail address for here if so.
IT is stil very slow when submitting & especially for after editing...
|
I had to read this a couple of times before I could figure out what you were referring to. Now I think I understand...
The reason you were getting that error is because several of the email notifications included the IP addy rather than the name 4fxearth.net. So apparently these programs alert you that there may be a problem with the address since the hyperlink included the IP addy rather than a domain name. That problem should go away now that we are using the 4fxearth.net name here at IX and now that the DNS settings have been changed. Let me know if you continue seeing the problem...

THanks, NR. THe problem stopped as of today. However, I tried to use the spell check & it does not work at all.
WHen I first clidked on "Spell check" a medium empty framed white box apeared in my upper left screen.& then disappeared. After I tried abain, nothing appeared
Before we switched to this spell check appeared but missed most of the spelling erors, I make many. It would save time if it worked.
Sorry to give you more to check. |

It seems to be working correctly for me in Opera. Which browser are you using???

The Spell Checker hast the ability to learn if you teach it new words that aren't included in the dictionary. Unfortunately, I think the new words are added to cookies, which may not be of any value to you since you may use a different PC each time you log in...

A browser is the tool you use to surf the Net. You could be using Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Netscape, Opera, etc...
Can you give me an example of a word that our Spell Checker can't recognize???
