Hi all!
I'm trying to use EM to upgrade to 2.02.20 but I get this message -
Critical Error
Function Trace: open_files[5]->modio_open[1]
Could not open [admin/admin_smilies.php ***************** got to here!] for reading.
MOD script line #591 :: FAQ :: Report
Any ideas what I need to do??
Thanks |

Can you look in your admin folder to see if the admin_smilies.php file is even there???

Karen, your Update script is screwed up. This is what it says:#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
admin/admin_smilies.php ***************** got to here! This is what it should say:#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
admin/admin_smilies.php Just edit the Update script in your editor and fix this line...

OK I did that , and I also had a warning about something which couldn't be found in a file, but then the instruction was to just delete it anyway so I deleted that bit out of the txt file (got nervous about that..lol!)
It went through ok but I did get this message, and I don't know if its a bad one or a FYI message?
Warning
FIND FAILED: In file [templates/Diddle/confirm_body.tpl] could not find:
<th class="thHead" height="25" valign="middle"><span class="tableTitle">{MESSAGE_TITLE}</span></th>

Karen, since the code in the confirm_body.tpl file differs greatly from template to template, and since the 2.0.20 Update wants to replace the old code with a new one, there is no easy way to fix the MOD script so that this part of the code will install correctly into all of your templates. So probably the easiest way to handle this is to continue with the MOD install, then manually modify the Diddle's confirm_body.tpl file. That is not something I recommend very often, but there are times when there is no easy way around it...

Sorry for not posting back before!
Thanks for the help, I tried it and it worked OK, I didn't need to change anything in that file - it all looks fine and is saying I'm upto date

Strange. You didn't have to change a thing in the MOD file? One day it didn't work and the next it did? That doesn't sound right...
