Answer
As it is evident that Camille, June and Martha received
respectively $1220, $1320 and $1420, making together the $3960
left to the three wives, if Jack Smith receives as much as his
wife Camille, $1220; Horace Saunders half as much again as his
wife June, $1980; and Terry Connors twice as much as his wife
Martha, $2840, then we have correctly paired the married couples
and accounted for exactly $10,000.

Brain Teaser #25
There is a man that lives on the top floor of a very tall
building. Everyday he gets the elevator down to the ground floor
to leave the building to go to work. Upon returning from work
though, he can only travel half way up in the lift and has to
walk the rest of the way, unless it's raining! WHY?

The man is probably a midget and so he can reach the lower buttons to
travel down, but when coming home he only reaches half way up... But
when it is raining he has his umbrella with him and can use it to press
the button at the very top...
Give me a break!!!!!
If that was true, then the guy would take the umbrella with him, or at
least a stick of some sort (how about one of those pull out pens) in
order to reach the buttons regardless of whether it was raining or not!
...else I cannot help him - he'd be plain stupid LOL
