That doesn't make sense. I thought they were complaining about the amount of traffic on your site? If they allowed 25 GB per month and you were only using 18 GB per month, then you shouldn't be having any problems with them...

You should write to them to get a clarification of the problem...

I have my domain with godaddy and am hosted through www.3ix.com. Unlimited bandwidth and 500 mb space for around AUS$76 per year.

Perhaps I misunderstood. Apparently you purchased your domain for 9 years. That's fine. You won't have to buy another domain to move to a different host. You can transfer the domain when you sign up...

Before we can help you though, we need to know what price range you are willing to pay before we can help search for hosts that meet your needs. It appears that you are going to need a high volume unlimited access account, so the cost may be higher than what we might be willing to pay. You need to find a host that won't kick you off once they find how busy your site is...

Those are good prices, Aussie, and especcially your's Rizzo, but 100 to 500 MB of space wouldn't be enough for us, we are already using 728 MB. Our problem is not traffic but space! LOL

Well space is not a problem yet but may be not too far in the future.

The one i've got is $5.95 every 3 months, and it's unlimited traffic and space and 1000 subdomains, emails, SQL databases and on and on... i think that's a pretty good deal Smile

I'm not sure I understand, Rizzo, do you have two domain names and two web sites hosted by different Hosting companies? Why not combine them?

They can't actually mean that. And if they do, you have to switch hosts. That is an unrealistic demand/restriction that they are imposing against you...

I paid $186.48 for 2 years which includes:

2 Years FREE Domain Name
12gigs of space
300gigs of bandwhich per mth or 10gigs a day
5 MySQL Databases
unlimeted user ftp access
650 mail boxes
plus lots more stuff

I bought this during a sale which I got 2 free years - so I paid 186.48 for 4 years - which comes out to $46.62 a year or $3.33 a mth

Right now they are having a sale that if you buy 1 year - get 2mths free or buy 2 years get 6mths free. The sale changes every few mths. I have not seen the sale for buy 2 years get 2 years free like I got since I bought mine. And that was in Oct 05. Smile

A good friend who runs a very big site with lots of traffic referred me to this host - they have used this host for a few years and are very happy with them as I am as well. Smile

BTW the same thing happened to a friend of mine - they where asked to get a new host - due to the traffic they where getting. They are now using powweb.
