It was in the RCT2 group - subforum RCT2 object downloads. I deleted the topic, seems this time it was only that one topic with the error.
I went over evey one of the mods that I have installed since my computer crashed - lost the others. Anyway this error started long after that crash.
None of the new mods that I have added in the last few mths has changed anything in the functions_usergroup.php file it makes no sense to me.
I am wondering if it has to do with image shack - seems alot of the images that are linked to image shack are not showing up latly and I have also been having trouble unloading new images to them. Maybe that is why this error comes and goes cause it has to do with image shack?
It does seem that since the problems with image shack started - is when I started getting this error.
I have contacted my host a few times - if it was them it would be effecting all of my site and its not. |

Since the ImageShack Panel MOD has absolutely nothing in common with the functions_usergroup.php file, there is very little chance that it could affect the SQL query in it. There just isn't any connection between uploading an image to ImageShack and running a query against the User Groups table. That would be like parking a car in your garage turning the lights on in the house down the street...
The recent ImageShack problems are a separate issue. I hope their problems are short-lived. If the ImageShack Panel caused problems on your site, it would also cause similar problems on every other site that connects and links to it. AFAIK, we haven't had any problems similar to what you have experienced recently...
If deleting the one topic cleared up your problems, it would be interesting to see what else was going on in that topic...

Yep you have a point there. The topic had many images in it and a few links to download files.
Well guess I will only need to wait and see if we get that error again very strange how it comes and goes.
Oh NR one change I just thought of that I did do. I changed the link to my groups to point to a different page - then in that page I have a list of my groups with each one with a link to the view group’s info. Would this be causing the problem? All I did was redirect the link.
If you want to see what I am talking about just click on the groups link at the top of my forums. |

When I click on your Groups link, it works perfectly. Changing the destination of the page shouldn't be a problem either...

Hopefully it was a temporary problem that won't come back. The fact that the error is a lost connection leads me to believe that the problem was with your host, so hopefully they have corrected it...
Our code can't lose a connection with the host. So it isn't likely that we will ever be able to correct a problem like this when it occurs...
