Some of my users were telling me today that they had to log in twice to enter my forum??
What can be the problem here? |

It sounds like you have updated to at least 2.0.18. If so, you need to check the Cookie path set in General Admin Configuration of your ACP. Make sure the path is set to / and nothing else. Of course if you change this, all of your members are going to have to clear their cookies in their browsers. They may have to anyway...
Also you can run this MOD: Auto Cookies. You run it once, then delete it...

Yes, tell those who are having trouble logging in to clear their browser cookies. You can also install, run, and remove the following MOD:
Auto Cookies
This is what the "experts" were suggesting to do over at phpBB after the 2.0.18 Update. Apparently it worked for some people. You would probably run this before telling everyong to clear their cookies in their browsers...

I think 2.0.18 is to blame. Every day, I have to login the first time. I am half tempted to remove some of the 2.0.18 Updates because I don't think they handled it well. I think they really screwed up with 2.0.18...

NR you are having the log in problem here as well? The cookie mod did not help? I was hoping that the .19 update was going to fix the problem with the .18 update but no luck |

The problem here at RCF seems a bit different to the problems mentioned above. I have to login once every single day even though I have autologin checked. That works until I close down my browser. Then I have to login again. I don't like that behavior. If you want autologin, you should always get autologin. I'm sure this is some kind of an added security measure, but I don't like or want it here. I don't think we need it...
