I'm wanting to pull bits of data from the index page of my site to make up a 'home' page for the site (http://mummybrain.com/phpBB/template.php?page=1). For example, on my index it has the birthdays of users, i've tried

{L_WHOSBIRTHDAY_TODAY}
which is where it's getting it from, but it doesn't display anything but this text. How do i pull it from the index page? violent1

You need to install the EZportal for phpbb http://smartor.is-root.com/viewtopic.php?t=1860 then you will be able to do what you want.  I made my home page using this mod.  Mine is www.jaddon.com  if you need more help let me know. Smile

If the information hasn't already been gathered, you will need to run a SQL query to pull the information from your database.  I am in catch-up mode right now since I spent most of yesterday fighting PC problems on both of my PCs.  If the information isn't already available, which I doubt since this is a new template page, then I would be more than happy to help you write the SQL syntax and assign the desired variables...
