I have never submitted any MOD to the phpBB MOD Database and the way the phpBB Team Members are acting, I doubt that I ever will. It's just not worth it to me...

The phpBB Team Members bully members around and do more to disrupt the community than to offer helpful support. They tend to make phpBB.com a very negative and toxic environment. When phpBB.com went down last week, they moved to Area 51 and resumed bullying people around and locking open topics for no good reason. When I protested, I was banned from Area 51 for three days. Even though they should be there to make the environment as pleasant and productive as possible, they tend to do just the opposite and for that, I want no part of it...

i feel that... that explains why people refered me over here to you when i went to area 51 looking for help. i kinda like it here better anyway. its always nice havin a super hero

What's unfortunate is that a lot of tech sites also come with a mean-spirited attitude. I don't know if it's a lack of confidence problem or what, but it is never necessary to be rude when offering technical assistance. It makes people nervous and often makes it more difficult to resolve the problems. I tried to keep Area 51 pleasant and was mostly successful until phpBB.com went down and the Team Members showed up, especially 3Di, in Area 51. It didn't take them long to destroy the atmosphere for everyone....

whats the whole deal with area51... who does it belong to? whats its purpose as opposed to phpbb/support?

Area 51 belongs to phpBB.com and is the Beta Test environment for phpBB 3 (Olympus). The Area 51 forum software is phpBB3...
