Exquisite wings....but I'm afraid of dragonflies for some reason even though they don't bite.  blob8

Well they are kind of weird looking.  LOL   I guess some of us develop a fear of all bugs over time, as a child I played with and picked up just about anything.  Until I experienced a few bites from bees, wasps, red ants .... A bumblebee bit me on my thigh and I though I was going to die.  Small as I was I'm surprised I didn't.

Mom put either goose grease or kerosene on it.  Those were the two main medications my family used at that time.  Later their list of medications got a bit more advanced and I remember them also using Iodine and turpentine.  Like I've said before it's surprising neither my brother or I died in our childhood.  LOL

Oh yes!  There also was mecuricome later on!  We called it Monkey Blood, don't know why.  I loved it, it didn't sting and painted my owie a bright red.  That was good stuff it healed sores fast! It came in a cute little bottle with a glass rod attached to the cap, you used the glass rod to dab on the solution. Then I think "they" discovered that it wasn't good for you and I think they banned it.

And life went on .....

I think they replaced it with something else but it wasn't any good.  It was still red but it didn't heal like the original.

Don't know what it was replaced with, but I sure remember, as a small child, being constantly daubed with Mercurichrome!  blob8
