There was a time not long ago
When I never felt any threat
When you sized up all the ladies
It never cause me to fret.

I was full of arrogant confidence
That you would still pick me..
But the years have a way
of shaking that boldness free.

I see you looking their way
And I'm hoping you see me
As I was at their age
And can no longer be.

Yea right, I tell myself
He's wishing I weren't here
And I have to admit it
My green eyes start to tear.

'Cause I still see him as a dashing
Roman God all muscle bound
Of course I attribute that to
the cataracts the doctor found.

Of course most of us guys continue to look like Roman gods into our later years. That's just an untold truth about the differences of the sexes, don't you know???
