The Diet

I lost 32 pounds last year
I'm really proud to say
And the year before that
I kept 52 pounds at bay

I've done a good job
Each and every year
Of shifting the fat around
my middle and my rear.

But alas I am only human
And without willpower
My best diet intentions
Can turn my mood sower.

I love that jelly donut
I'll have a piece of cake
Just one piece of that pie
And a double milkshake.

So I decided not to diet
I'm going to"Think Thin"
Aw, yes I can imagine it
That's the way to win.

This way you can have
Your cake and eat it too
If wishing can make it so
That's what I'm going to do.

I'm proud of my past success
The ton or two I've lost
But I'm going to start anew
And give that diet a toss..

You know that weight that you lost? I found it and I would be more than happy to give it back. I'm tired of carrying it around...

I have a theory about weight. There is a constant amount of weight on this planet. This planet is not gaining mass, so the mass remains constant. There has to be a balance. So when one person loses a pound, someone else has to gain it to keep the world in balance. Otherwise, the world just might tip over... Shocked

Nice poem Katy and congratulations if this is a true story. Get back on that "diet" though...

I have a theory too NR... The closer you come to grandparent age the more you gain... This makes you a nice soft cuddly thing for th GKids to climb into.... Ya Think???
