Your courage is not my heart. Please release me.
I must fly into the darkness on my own...
Fly into her arms, and she'll take me away.
We must deceive the Rose.
She must not take control.
Symbol of Jealousy,
Not of Love.

Love is not at all my nature.
It deceives my mind and
binds my heart.
But I blame her...
the Rose, symbol of Death.
Fascinate me by your wicked ways
Mysterious one,
Symbol of Youth.
You are my lover.

I give you no hope of destroying me.
I am not that kind.
My heart wreaks destruction
and you are in its path.

Mysterious Catastrophe,
You're in the kitsune's den.
I must unleash her.
Release me, I must fly.

I seek no qualms with you.
I must face my demons. I must vanquish her.
The Rose is my demon.
I fear her, for she eludes Death.
She must be destroyed.
You are not of my kind.

Death is my Fear.
It is not my time- Time is not my friend.
Black blood- Blood of Deception-
You are the muse
That haunts me in my dreams.

Very deep apparently, beyond me at any rate. You're right it is confusing as far as meaning but isn't that par for poetry a lot of times. Like Spider says poetry can mean whatever you want it to mean.

You do a good job of it. I'm no expert, just judging by other poetry I've read. This seems to be about freedom, fear and death.

I must say I feel honored that you shared your poem with us here at RCF.

Very conflicted and emotional. I bet there is a lot of history that lead up to the creation of this poem...

*grin* I'm surprised that you both liked it.. yes it does have a history. Writing and music are how i release my emotions without lashing out unnecessarily or losing my control.. kind of what this is about. Anyhow... thank you for your feedback,
but enough of my talk here, i should be looking at others' poetry...

It's neat that we have so much talent in our community. I never thought there would be a need for a Poetry forum, but it is clear that I was wrong. I'm happy to see that there are so many of our members who are willing to share their talents through poetry with the rest of the community...

in all reality, i would consider this "poem" to be similar to my thought process. That is why i said it may be confusing. This is typically what goes through my mind all day... I don't know how else to explain the history.
