Can't live without a dryer. I just can't.
What brand of dryer to y'all have? This one was a Maytag but they have all gotten so expensive I'm thinking of going with something else. Probably from Lowe's. Hoping to find something around $500

Everything has gone up, all right! I remember when dryers were only about $100, but that was about 20 years ago. |

That was a long lived dryer! I have never had washer and dryer so I can't help. Good luck! |

You're kidding, mojo! How can you survive without a washer and dryer? When first married I did all my washing and drying in a washateria. I hated it. When my daughter was born my dad bought us a washing machine. A used one but to me it was heaven sent and I love it. I hung my clothes outdoors on a line to dry. When my son was born we bought the dryer, a Maytag, my first and only dryer for 40 years. Been through about 4 washing machines. The first two were used, the last two were brand new.
We bought a Roper this morning, they are delivering it in the morning.
Roper 6.5 cu ft Electric Dryer

Like someone told me, reading the reviews people either hate it or love it. LOL However more people love it than hate it ... if that's an indication of anything. One lady says it takes forever to dry her clothes, another says it dried her clothes very fast. Go figure. I'm thinking the lady with the slow dry has her electrical wired wrong.
I'll soon find out, the dryer should be here this morning.

OK, did a load of whites, light colored (shirts, blouses, nightgowns, etc.) and a load of heavy colored (jeans, jackets, etc.). All came out perfect in a bit less time than my old dryer. Settings are easy to understand and do what they are suppose to.
So far I love it!

Sure, if it's washed, dried, folded and in my size.
