I have recently reformatted my computer or actually one of the partitions where I have my OS installed.

Now I have reinstalled some of the software that I had before and they work fine, all but Opera 8.5! I have a personal bar at the bottom with links to the sites that I visit the most. I have set them to just show the text and no images (some websites have a little icon too). It works fine when I keep using Opera, but as soon as I shut it down and open it again the personal bar comes up WITH the images again and the text to the left. There is also a few other icons at the menu bar that I have to delete every time I open the program. Once opened, it cases me no problem. But if I have to close it and reopen it, the settings won’t stay and I know I have hit the OK button and the Apply button when asked to!

Anyone knows why?

I'm not at all sure about this, Spider, Nightrider being the expert and all, but you might try Saving the Session before you close down and that may do it.  Altough I think that's really for saving your open pages.

While walking LaiLai, this is the same advice I was planning to give.  Saving the session should save everything, even the placement of all the components.  I agree with rb, that's what I would try too...

Thanks! I have tried that and it doesn't do anything. Have posted in the Opera forum and it seems to be a bug or something since nobody knows what to do about it.

That's OK! I appreciate all efforts to help out whether they solve the problem or not!

Thank you both once again!
