I think its in the css. This shows one hd as being white and that shouldn't be. I'm kind of afraid to mess with it, it so unstable.

Yes, that was the correct setting. The difference is that one Subject title was a hyperlink and the other was regular text. I changed the setting to #000000 and it displays correctly on both pages now...
