Make sure the images/avatars folder permissions are set to 777. Once the permissions are set correctly, you will be able to upload an avatar into that folder...

Nr, I'm not seeing those numbers, where are you, in forum admin or website c panel?

I contacted IX help again and they are looking into my forum errors in member activation.

Meanwhile I went into c panel and looked in my SQL control panel and when I started looking inside I started seeing error message banners, and warning notice banners. The first one was: I had two avatar programs installed, and so I followed the warning susgestion and I deleted the extra one.

Later I found more warning banners, I don't know but I think help is putting these in for me, but one page showed three warnings, I think I clicked on "mem auth" (or something like that) and clicked to view or moniter (or something like that) and inside these were the warnings, one in red said I had not set up a server yet, .... your kidding? After I set up several data bases and servers, so many I can barely keep track of each name and password, So I followed instructions and added a new MySQL server and now I have a server! This is MySQL.

I next deleted the extra DBs that I made, like in MySQL I had two set up, one that phpbb is using and an extra one. This way I don't have so many names to keep track of, somehow I set up each in two names because one was emediatly assigned to my phpbb forum.

Anyway, I was in SQL control panel and only clicked on two sections out of many and both had error message banners, so I think I have a lot of work to do to configure everything. That is probably why I couldn't use ftp and having problems with forum.
