Walking to the car with my son
He pauses and asks why I hurry
And I tell him I'm much to busy
Not to get things done is a worry
Everyday I'm getting much older
I realize my list is very long
Of all the things I planned to do
While my body is still strong..
This life is such a wonderful gift
Sometimes I feel I must rush
I can never live long enough
To discover all it has to offer us
But today I'm a little bit tired so
I'll just sit quietly and reminisce
Looking at our old photographs
And remind myself I still exist
I'll hope I will have a tomorrow and
My mind will never let me forget
All the people, events and times
Life is good and I have no regrets |
