The news has been such of late
That it makes everyone insecure
And how to make things right
We admit we just aren't sure.
But we're all in this together
No matter our station in life.
Will we willingly help others
Through the pain and strife?
Or will we just sit and pout
Blaming others for our plight
Cause we all ignored signs
Of serious corporate blight.
The rediculous wages being paid
Astronomical bonuses routine
No one asked for accountability
Yet knowing they were obscene.
Our representatives didn't care
Which made us feel no threat
Spending their time campaigning
Is what can cause them regret.
Hopefully we can move forward
And fix the economy and more
Deficit will remind us to observe
The fiscal responsibility of yore. |
