This evening I got that General Error message, but only on the index page BEFORE logging in. Once I'd logged in, the index page came up fine.

That's weird. Last night it was the other way around.

I am totally baffled by this new problem since it provides no clue what went wrong and it doesn't affect everyone. I am not affected while rb is and we both have the same privileges on the board. Rb tested this problem in Opera, Firefox, and Netscape and experienced the same problem so it doesn't seem to be browser specific either. The fact that it is intermittent doesn't help either...

To my knowledge, nothing was changed for several days leading up to this problem, including MOD installation and setting changes, so it seems very odd that this came out of the blue. I don't even know where to begin looking for this new problem...

Apparently this only affects the Index page so it might be a good idea to bookmark IMO too, just in case...

Probably if CL hadn't posted her Birthday Wishes for rb, I may not have found this nasty bug before it went back into hiding at midnight. It never even occurred to me that rb's birthday might have had anything to do with this. But when I just finished running out of viable options and ideas, there it was staring me right in the face. CL's post gave me something new to research and Thank God it proved to be our little forum Gremlin. I wouldn't have wanted to go through all of that again when the next birthday came around...
