We stood in this rose garden
Not so very many years ago
In front of everyone we knew
Our true love now to bethroth
Neverthought our love could end
As the years rolled quicky by
I grew to love you even more
Not knowing the how or why
But you got tired of me I see
You've found somebody new
Will she love you like I do or
Make you lonely and blue
I'm trying hard to hate you
But my love is ever true
I cant turn love on and off
As easily as you seem to do
As the tears fall on the papers
You've brought for me to sign
I hope you'll know what you've lost
As I signed on the dotted line
