Remember when we were all much younger
And the ideals we clung to for a better world
Envisioning holding hands across the earth
Love, freedom and sharing was the word.

Never dreamed we would exhibit hatred
Or any resentment of our neighbors
We just wanted the world to be one
No more hunger or threats of wars.

I guess we were young and naive
We wanted to change the world
But we got busy with family and jobs
And on and on our earth whirrled

I think we should have worked harder
Doing instead of wishing and dreaming
We have nothing to be real proud of
The damage to our planet is alarming

I hope its not to late for us to do our part
To attain that peace and save out planet
Lets not ignore the damage we've done
Lets take action before we regret it!
