This is another site where I am testing Phpbb2 installation.
The first problem I have run into is that they do not run the latest version of Phpbb2.0.22 They are running 2.0.21
The problem I am having here is first I tried to install EM... I couldn't get it to run because they have the FTP server in safe mode.
Here is the error page I got on installation.

I was able to get Code Crush 0.4.1 installed manually after quite a while of waiting for support to respond to my request to approve .csv files.
I sent the error image I got on the EM installation to support but haven't gotten a response form them at all.
My experience so far with them is that they have only one support guy and he doesn't often visit the support forums and when he does he doesn't answer all that is posted only the newest things. So he misses literally days of posts at a time.

Having Safe Mode turned on isn't always a Show Stopper. It often is, but not always. There are several things you can try here. First, if you press Rescan, you might get lucky and be presented with the Automatic Install option, which you would want to use. If you don't see that, then try changing the PHP FTP Extensions to No, then enter your FTP Server addy in the FTP Server field instead of localhost...
If that still doesn't work, turn on the FTP Debug Mode option and hopefully it will give you more information that might aid in diagnosing and correcting the EM install problem...

Did you try the second suggestion yet? If not, go ahead and try it next. If that doesn't work, I would like to see the output after you have changed the FTP Debug Mode to Yes, then tried the install again. That should provide some clues as to what might be happening...

This error occurs frequently when the port number is incorrect. Back on step 1 you should try changing the FTP Port from 21 to whatever port you typically use when you FTP.

The first thing I see is that you will probably have to use the Awardspace version of EM on this site too. If you look at your file permissions on this server, I imagine, unless you have changed them, that they are all set to 755 by default. If you have changed them yourself, that might be causing the problem. If you are unsure what the server expects for file permissions, simply upload a file and check its permissions. That is what all the other file permissions should be set to as well...
If you haven't modified the file permissions and they are all set to 755 and if you are trying to install the EM for Awardspace version, and you still had no luck, then try changing the Writing and Moving options to server and copy, then try the install again...

I am assuming that you are in advanced mode in that image. And it makes me wonder why I only have 2 options there.
Writing and Moving. And you also have a yellow background in yours.
Why are yours and mine different?

Mine might be a picture of a previous EM version. The yellow is caused by the select box being selected in my browser. By default, it would be white just like it is in your browser...

No, your copy of EM is most likely just fine. The problem is these Free Hosts place unusual restrictions that prevent 3rd party apps from functioning as they were designed. So on some of these Free sites, it is impossible to get EM or other utilities like it to work since the host settings stand in the way. I have yet to successfully install EM on any 110mb.com site although I have spent a great deal of time trying...
