I went in to EM Settings and here's the error I received when I thought I was done:

Quote:
FTP ERROR: could not cd to domain/directory
You successfully logged into the server, but could not change direcory (CD) to the easymod directory. The following is recommended:

Important: It appears you are including a domain name in the FTP Path setting. For most servers this is incorrect. Try reentering the FTP Path setting without the domain name included.
Are you sure you entered the correct path? Below is a directory listing of the files in the FTP root directory. The FTP root directory is simply the starting point when you connect. The path to the phpBB2 installation should begin with one of the directory names listed below.
Directory names are case sensitive. Be sure the easymod directory is all lowercase.
In some *very rare* cases it's possible that you are not connecting to the proper FTP Server. Try specifying the hostname in the FTP Server field and the port in the FTP Port field.
Some servers have issues with the passive mode that EasyMOD attempts to use by default. If you have the PHP FTP extension loaded, then enable that option in step 1.

FTP root directory:

What next??

Well any file I want to upload on my server has to be uploaded to the public_html folder. My Forum folder is named "forums". So the path in EM for mine would be "public_html/forums" ..... hope this helps....

Hmm, is your domain name an add-on?

Is your forum coming of the /root of your server? Or is it xxx/forum or xxx/forums

public_html? This is used on a lot of servers. Mainly used on shared hosts (I think).

Do you have a link to your forum 2LadyDi? It would help us figure out the correct EM path a lot easier...!?

Yes, my domain is out of the root directory of my server. And it is xxx/not the word "forum" nor anything phpBB. It's a private forum, if that helps.

Rescan Option

Ok, do you see a rescan option at the bottom of this page? If so, click on it.  Hopefully on the next page, you will be given the Automcatic Detection option.  If so, go with it...

No, this page ends with the phpBB copyright. Before that the directory listings.

Nightrider, check your PM.
