Has anyone had any experience using any of these image scripts? I am trying to set up a personal site for myself to update my family with pictures. I have been using www.dropshots.com/dimples41479 to share my pictures, and I love it, but I got tired of paying the 5 dollar a month fee when I have server space, and the knowledge to do this on my own.

I am using wordpress for the home page, and am looking into these image scripts to share my pictures. I have tried all 3 out briefly but don't seem to like any of them. hysterical2

Does anyone have any experience with these? I think one of the main features I am looking for is the ability to upload my pictures vie FTP and I can't stand trying to upload one at a time.

I have read a lot of people suggesting you don't use 4images as it has had a lot of security issue's. I don't know if there is truth behind that, it's just what I found when googling. I have coppermine installed and am trying to get the FTP upload figured out, but it's not working, and their support site looks like a bunch of grumpy people that just want to direct you to use their search feature, but when you search (the error) all I can find is all of the many topics where they tell everyone to use the search feature to find the answer. If I could just find where they actually answer someone I might be able to get somewhere! Totally annoying!

I had tried the gallery2 a few months back, and had trouble figuring it out as well, so I am just frustrated. All I want is to be able to upload my pictures and have my family see them, comment on them, ect.

Any thoughts or is there anyone out there that is familiar with coppermine and can help me with my upload problems?

We use Coppermine here and my experience with Coppermine support has been extremely good so far. I have had to rely on their experts for bridging problems on several ocassions for several sites. I can help you with the Coppermine setup if you want...

I really don't know anything about the other software that you mentioned...

I got it to work by changing the Method for resizing images to GD version 2.x rather than using ImageMagick. All of the images stored in your june07 folder are now added to your June 07 Family Pictures album...
