I uninstalled the descriptions mod because it isn't needed but now when going to view a forum i get this

You left the comma just before the FROM when you removed the description field in your viewforum.php file. So go into viewforum.php and around line 339, search for my_reply_id, and remove the comma at the end...

another thing i uninstalled the moved topic message notify mod too get rid of the extra options in the profile etc. the mod didnt work as it should have done anyway so thought sod it ill get rid but now after removing the mod and go to test moving a topic i just get a blank page.
i remeber being a bit stuck on this section

Did you create backups of all files that you modified before overwriting them? If so, restore your backups...

i have backups on my pc but i've removed about 3 mods since
quick reply, moved topic message and the descriptions mod
I could restore the whole lot and go through it all again with you whenever youve got time
i pretty went through them all ok though. I just got something wrong with the moved message topic mod. I think i messed up when it come to revsering the commands in the admin/admin_forumauth.php and admin/admin_ug_auth.php

You really need to get in the habit of keeping good backups of your modified files if you plan to manually add and remove MODs. EM does that without question, so it is so much easier to use EM to add and remove MODs than to try to do it manually. If you have to restore EM backups for 5 MODs to get rid of the one you want to lose, that is faster than doing it manually then possibly making a mistake. It would only take a few minutes to reinstall the MODs that you actually wanted to keep using EM again. And that would be a whole lot faster than having to restore the entire board code...
