I only have the 1.2.1 version of the MOD and can't find a newer version. Could you provide a link to the MOD topic and/or download? The version at phpBB.com is still 1.2.1 and the link to the author's site seems to be dead...
Most likely if you look in the MOD script, you will find a statement like this:

You would want to remove the OPEN command and all commands that follow until the next OPEN command. Since you don't support German on your forum, then there is no need to modify that language. And even if you did, EM would be able to make the necessary modification to ALL of your language files whenver lang_english is listed in the OPEN command. So any section in the MOD script that attempts to modify any other language is unnecessary and should be removed...

It's okay for that now, I got the earlier version (the one that you suggested Nightrider and it works perfectly) all I need to do now is to work out how to set it so noobies can only post their first post in the introductions   |

I don't know anything about this MOD. But it sounds like you can create posting groups that are assigned for each of your forums. When a new member registers, they can be added to the 1 post or less group which would allow them access to your Introductions forum. Then once they post, they would be automatically added to the 1 post or more group which would be assigned to all your other forums, which would make them visible to the member...
Our Newsfeed forums are all set by group access. If you don't belong to one of the groups, you don't see the Newsfeed forum assigned to the group. It's been a long time since I set it up, but I'm sure I can walk you through setting up forum groups like our Newsfeed forums if you need help, then you can use this MOD to control who belongs to each forum group...

I can definitely see how this MOD could be useful for many forums. I don't think it is anything we would ever need here though...
