Well the content isn't original anymore as we customized it so there's no real reason to keep the copyright notice and of course I don't want competiers using the same mod etc you know the score

I don't know if there are any copyright laws for OpenSource software so I can't even begin to guess whether removing the code violates any rules or not. I would guess not, but you never really know...
