Ok, well I'll try and narrow the commands down in the future so EM can process them properly. I'll not narrow them down that much that EM copys/replaces the code anywhere... I'll check
Failing that I'll ask you should I come into any probs. I'd prefer to correct the install files so I don't come into problems at a later date like this one though yeah.
No harm done at the moment though because all of the mods I've installed so far I won't be uninstalling again... just hope I don't need to uninstall one mod to fix another one... going by the ones I've installed so far though this shouldn't be a problem *fingers crossed |

Usually the key to solving a MOD install problem is simplifying the FIND command. EM doesn't need the entire line to be able to find the code, it just needs a unique value so that it doesn't find the wrong place in the code. So the only real thing to worry about is that you aren't over-simplifying the commands...
It's a lot easier modifying one file than it is modifying the MOD script and your phpBB files. If you can get to a point where you can install everything using EM, it sure simplifies the whole process both when installing MODs and when having to Restore the Backups when necessary...

Ok, I'll try that way in future. Cheers Nightrider.
For now though how can I just change for the forum index without having to spend 8hrs + messing about with the other two that I installed after the contact form header one? |
