So after adjusting the code, can he be allowed to enter the area where he can make normal member to moderator and not admin ? |

No, he would see what he can see now but none of your other moderators would have access any longer...
It might be possible to copy additional files from the admin folder to the modcp folder to add functionality to the MCP. We would have to figure out which files were involved and look through the code to see if any of the code needs to be adjusted so that the ACP pages will work in the MCP too...

I tried to do this on your Test forum, but since you don't have the ModCP MOD installed there, there was no way to test it. The Test forum should be nearly identical to your Live forum, so your Test forum is probably nearly invalid now as a testing environment...
I copied the admin_ug_auth.php file to your modcp folder and the auth_ug_body.tpl file to your subSilver/modcp folder. Then I had to make the following adjustments to the admin_ug_auth.php file code to get it to display correctly:
OPEN
modcp/admin_ug_auth.php
FIND
| Code:
include('./page_header_admin.'.$phpEx);
REPLACE WITH
| Code:
include('./page_header_mod.'.$phpEx);
FIND
| Code:
include('./page_footer_admin.'.$phpEx);
REPLACE WITH
| Code:
include('./page_footer_mod.'.$phpEx);
Currently all moderators have access to this new functionality since all can enter the MCP...

I think I will take away this MCP from all the MODs and Support Team member and give only to Main MOD and than will try to copy Admin folder files to MCP and will see what happens in MCP. If anything will go wrong, I still think MCP should be given to Main MOD only
So can i know the codes to replace so that my normal mod and support team member cannot access it |

OPEN
includes/page_tail.php
FIND
| Code:
(( $userdata['user_level'] == MOD ) || ( $userdata['user_level'] == MAIN_MOD ) || ( $userdata['user_level'] == SUPPORT ) )
REPLACE WITH
| Code:
( $userdata['user_level'] == MAIN_MOD )
Save and upload to your includes folder. Be sure to store a good backup of the current file before you overwrite it, just in case...

Wow. This really works. When you tell me to change any codes so I feel so confident that I don't need to make backup of files but as you said I need to, than I make it
Thanks  |

No matter the confidence level, you should always create good backups of any file that you manually modify. If you accidentally modify an older version of the MOD, then you have lost the correct version the second that you overwrite it with the modified file. Since it only takes a second to create a good backup of a file that you are modifying, it would be silly not to do so since it could prevent serious problems in the future...
