IX doesn't use SMTP does it? I've got it turned off in my ACP/config anyway and have done for a while.

Since you have not specified a SMTP account in General Admin Configuration, you are using the default email system with your domain to send email notifications. If you are receiving these errors, there might be a problem with the Email server that you are using. You might want to send a Support Ticket ti IX and tell them that you have several problems going on with your new account and have them take a look at it for you...
This is what I've noticed so far:
- Slow server response. I think you should install the Page Generation Time MOD so that we will have an accurate represtation of how long it takes to generate a page display on your forum. Once we have that, if it is slow, you can use that to get IX to move you to a better performing server...
- SMTP failures. This may be caused by an improper setting or a email server that just needs to be reset/restarted...
- Lost connection error could be related to #1 above. If your database server is under-performing, moving the database to a different server might correct this problem as well...

Your server performance seems to be very good right now. Once you install the Page Generation MOD, it will give you an idea whether there is a slowdown with the FTP or Database server. You can see how the MOD looks by looking at the bottom of any RCF page...

I added the mod but nothing is showing at the bottom, I added it to forum folder too just in case but still nothing  |

The MOD isn't installed. I just looked at the includes/page_tail.php file and it's still the old file. Before you install this MOD, you may want to make sure you have good backups of all the files that it is overwriting. I don't like it when a MOD overwrites phpBB files with their own with the same name...
